With a long love of all animals, especially dogs,  I took my career as a kennel manager, dog trainer and professional groomer and Shawn's professional (dog show) photography skills and rolled it together and all roads lead  to the start of North Star Border Collies.  In 2009 we were blessed with our first border collie.  Our boy "Buzz" GCH BB's Barnstorming Daredevil CGC THD came into our lives and a passion was born.  We are very happy and grateful that Julie and Dawne Bosier (Bosier Border Collies) took a chance on us and entrusted us with Buzz.  We loved Buzz so much that when an opportunity arose to add another Bosier BC we couldn't resist.  In 2012 we added "Talladega or Tallie" CH BB's Four on the Floor at North Star.  Thanks again to Julie and Dawne.  We not only added 2 amazing dogs to our family we added dear friends.

At North Star Border Collies, we strive to breed and raise border collies that have not only brains and beauty, but first and foremost sound temperaments, optimal health and correct structure.  We believe that when combined with socialization, healthy living and healthy diet we can achieve wonderful family pets along with top performance and show dogs.  We are a small breeder but that makes it possible for our dogs to train and compete in conformation, obedience, agility,  rally, herding and therapy work.  We believe with a breed so versatile the sky is truly the limit.  We thrive to showcase their versatility.  We try to find each dogs strengths and help them to excel and shine.  We believe our dogs health, happiness and well being always come first.  Our dogs live in our house and our litters are surrounded by friends, family and canine family until they go to their forever homes. Our dogs are a large part of our lives because...They're Family.

Our dogs are:  OFA tested for Hips/Elbows, they are tested  or cleared by parentage for TNS, CL and CEA/CH IGS and MDR1, they are BAER tested, CERF and gonioscopy tested.  Please see individual pages for results.
